The name pretty much says it all — this four-star place really does nail that cozy vibe they’re going for. You know what struck me first? The thoughtful touches throughout the space that make it feel like someone actually lives here, not just another sterile hotel room.

Honestly, the location on Calea Victoriei is about as central as you can get in Bucharest. I mean, you’re literally steps away from the Romanian Athenaeum and the Revolution Square — I could see why couples rate this spot so highly for romantic getaways. What I loved was being able to walk to the Old Town in about ten minutes, but still feeling like I was in the “real” Bucharest where locals actually go about their daily lives. The building itself has that beautiful Belle Époque architecture that makes this boulevard so special.

The apartment feels genuinely homey — not trying too hard to be trendy, just comfortable and well-thought-out. The red accents they mention in the name show up in subtle ways that actually work rather than feeling gimmicky. There’s a proper kitchen setup that’s perfect if you want to grab some fresh produce from the nearby Amzei Market and cook something simple. The whole place gets great natural light during the day, which makes a real difference when you’re spending time here between sightseeing.

Neighborhood Life

What I really appreciated was how this area comes alive at different times of day. Mornings bring office workers heading to the nearby government buildings, while evenings see locals meeting friends at the cafés along the boulevard. There’s a great little restaurant called Caru’ cu Bere about a fifteen-minute walk away — definitely worth checking out for traditional Romanian food. The metro station at Piața Victoriei is close enough that getting around the city is actually pretty straightforward, though honestly, you’ll probably end up walking most places from here.

After staying here, I get why the location scores are so high — it’s that sweet spot where you’re central enough to walk everywhere that matters, but you’re not dealing with the noise and chaos of the main tourist areas. The apartment strikes this nice balance between having hotel-like amenities and feeling like you’re staying in someone’s actual home. Plus, there’s something satisfying about having your own space to retreat to after a day of exploring, especially when that space happens to be right in the middle of one of Bucharest’s most beautiful neighborhoods.
