The seventh-floor location gives you this amazing sense of being above the city buzz while still being right in the thick of everything that matters.

Here’s the thing about staying on Calea Victoriei — you’re literally on Bucharest’s main artery, which means everything is walkable. I mean, the Old Town is maybe a 10-minute stroll, and you’ve got the Romanian Athenaeum practically next door. What I really loved was how couples seem to gravitate toward this spot (they rate the location 8.7 apparently), and I can see why. There’s something romantic about walking down this historic boulevard in the evening, with all the beautiful architecture lit up around you.

The Space Itself

The room setup actually surprised me — it’s more spacious than typical city accommodations, and the windows face out toward the street so you get this nice view of the boulevard action below. The kitchen area is well-equipped enough that you could actually cook if you wanted to, though honestly, with all the great dining options nearby, I barely used it. The whole place has this modern feel while still respecting the classic Bucharest apartment vibe — sort of like staying in a friend’s really nice place rather than a sterile hotel.

What I discovered during my stay is that this part of Bucharest has layers you don’t immediately notice. Sure, there’s the obvious tourist stuff, but walk a block in any direction and you’ll find these little cafes and bookshops that locals actually use. The National Museum of Art is right there, and I stumbled upon this fantastic restaurant called Caru’ cu Bere just a few minutes away — it’s been around since 1879 and the interior is absolutely stunning. Plus, if you need to get anywhere else in the city, the metro connections are solid.
