XOX Comfort Apartment Obreja

First Impressions

Walking up to XOX Comfort Apartment Obreja, you might wonder if you’ve got the right address — it’s tucked into a residential building on Bulevardul Alexandru Obregia, which honestly makes it feel more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel. The entrance is at street level (parter means ground floor in Romanian), and once you’re inside Apartment 3, you’ll understand why this four-star spot has earned such stellar reviews. There’s something refreshing about stepping away from the cookie-cutter hotel experience into what feels like a genuine Bucharest home.

Location & Neighborhood

Sector 4 isn’t where most tourists end up, but that’s actually part of the charm here. You’re in a proper residential area where locals go about their daily lives, yet you’re still well-connected to central Bucharest. The boulevard itself is wide and tree-lined — typical of this part of the city — and you’ll find small cafes and shops within walking distance that cater to residents rather than tourists. I mean, couples have been rating this location particularly highly, and I get it. There’s something romantic about discovering a neighborhood that feels authentically Romanian rather than sanitized for visitors.

The Apartment Experience

What sets XOX Comfort Apartment Obreja apart is that you’re getting a full apartment experience rather than just a hotel room. The space feels lived-in but meticulously maintained, with thoughtful touches that show someone actually cares about your stay. You’ll have proper kitchen facilities if you want to grab groceries from the local market, plus the kind of living space where you can actually spread out and relax. The decor strikes that perfect balance between modern comfort and local character — nothing too flashy, but everything works exactly as it should.

Practical Comforts

Here’s what I really appreciated: the little things that make a difference when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. The Wi-Fi actually works well (not always a given in Bucharest apartments), the heating is reliable, and there’s enough storage space that you can properly unpack. The bathroom is modern and well-equipped, and honestly, the water pressure is better than what you’ll find in some of the city’s fancier hotels. You know what really impressed me though? The attention to cleanliness and maintenance — everything feels fresh and well-cared-for.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.7 rating isn’t just a fluke — this place delivers on the promise of comfort without pretension. Recent guests consistently mention the location as a highlight, and after staying here, I understand why. You’re getting authentic Bucharest living with all the conveniences you need, plus the kind of personal attention that’s impossible to replicate in larger hotels. For couples especially, there’s something special about having your own little corner of the city where you can cook breakfast together or just enjoy a quiet evening without hotel corridors and elevator noise. It’s the sort of place that makes you feel like you’re actually experiencing Bucharest rather than just visiting it.

Bucharest’s apartments welcome families seeking playgrounds, nearby parks, and tram rides to museum clusters.
